This course covers several topics of importance to conducting successful research projects, with a special emphasis on statistics and data analysis techniques. My hope is that students leave this course feeling comfortable:
- Posing well-articulated research questions and hypotheses.
- Designing models, experiments, and/or surveys to support inquiry.
- Preparing formal and informal research proposals and project work plans.
- Leveraging descriptive statistics and basic statistical inferences to form and/or strengthen arguments.
- Preparing formal and informal reports and presentations summarizing findings.
