Research Design and Statistics in Forensic Science (FRSC 5003)

This course covers several topics of importance to conducting successful research projects, with a special emphasis on statistics and data analysis techniques. My hope is that students leave this course feeling comfortable:

  1. Posing well-articulated research questions and hypotheses.
  2. Designing models, experiments, and/or surveys to support inquiry.
  3. Preparing formal and informal research proposals and project work plans.
  4. Leveraging descriptive statistics and basic statistical inferences to form and/or strengthen arguments.
  5. Preparing formal and informal reports and presentations summarizing findings.
